We had 2 candidates proposed for membership at the January 23rd meeting.
The Mardi Gras Parades begin on Friday, February 16th with the Krewe of Hercules. We will need volunteers to help work for all seven of the parades. Please come out and spend some time as we enjoy some fraternal bonding along with some much needed assistance.
The Louisiana Elks Association Mid-Season Conference and Extravaganza was held the weekend of January 18th through January 20th. We had representatives from seven of the eight Louisiana Lodges attend as well as a visit from our State Sponsor Millard Pickering, PGER, and his wife Suzanne.
The Houma Elks Lodge purchased a new refrigerator from Rod’s Superstore in Houma. One of our fellow members donated the cost of the refrigerator and Rod's Superstore discounted the sell price.
There will be a Ritualistic Clinic held in Slidell on Saturday, February 9th. There is a minimal fee for the clinic. Anyone interested should contact Sam Authement for details.
