Hello Fellow Elks!
October and Fall is upon us and our state is finally in Phase 3! (Whatever that means) We held our first face-to-face meeting on September 23rd utilizing recommended guidelines; social distancing with face masks. It was great seeing our attendees again! Our Fall Festivals we love so much, either won’t be or won’t be the same. Staying safe is always our first priority. Our Elks are working diligently to secure the ENF grants we have available to us. We hope to have great news on this soon. We’ll keep you posted but please contact me with your ideas. They are always welcome and most appreciated. Membership renewals are going well. If you have not made your payment or need assistance, please contact us so that we may be able to help divide up your payments or hear why you are hesitating to renew. We are taking great strides to keep our members happy and involved.
At our September 23rd meeting, we had the great pleasure of visiting with Don Baye, the District Deputy to the Grand Exalted Ruler, Brian Baye and Darren LeBarthe. They were visiting to conduct our annual audit. I am proud to say the Houma Lodge did really well. At the meeting Don Baye presented Houma Lodge 1193 with the Grand Lodge Veterans Service Award. What an honor!
Enjoy the cool weather I hope is approaching this month. Please continue to stay safe and God Bless!
Fraternally yours,
