What an amazing October we have had! We now have a new lift, a new ice maker and several new members awaiting orientation. Thank you, Elaine Stanley. The TARC Dance held on October 18th as part of the Beacon Grant was a complete success! Thanks to all those that participated. Our Fraternal Night in conjunction with the Houma-Terrebonne Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours held on October 24th came next and reemphasized what a great Fraternal Order the Houma Elks Lodge can be! We then moved right in to the Rougarou Festival held on October 26-27th. The Lodge was open and it was quite successful. I get tired just thinking about all that was accomplished in the month of October.
The Adopt-a-School program is in the works for the coming month. Most importantly we celebrate Veterans Day! Don’t forget our Veterans Program to be celebrated on November 10th at the Heritage Manor at 2 pm. This will be followed up by Hoop Shoot on November 16th at Bayou Blue Middle School. Please contact Warren Michel with any questions or to volunteer.
